As agency of record for the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy in New York City, D&C focused on leveraging the power of the city’s niche music communities in tandem with strong New York-centric messaging. With ?uestlove as the academy’s most visible ambassador, the agency built a multi-tiered campaign rooted in portrait and event photography, original artwork, and a bold type-driven event system and calendar. These basic building blocks were then translated across all event media and collateral, including a daily newspaper with a circulation of 80,000, to pay proper tribute to every facet of an epic musical undertaking in the world’s greatest city.
