Digital stuff of the day. Polar Cell Phone Nullifier

Brand: Ambev - Polar Beer
Title: Polar Cell Phone Nullifier

Description:
There's nothing more annoying than going to a bar with your friends and watching as they can't take their eyes off their smart phones. This is why Polar beer, a beverage best enjoyed ice-cold and only sold exclusively in a single Brazilian state, created the definitive solution to this worldwide problem. The Polar Cell Phone Nullifier. A cooler that blocks 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and GSM signals to any device within a 1.5 meter radius.
When people ordered a bottle of Polar, the waiter would bring it inside the Nullifier and explain the idea. That way, everybody at the table was directly impacted in a fun and surprising way. And once again, they would be able to interact more with their friends and less with gadgets.

MUSIC REMAINS LYRICS

What's the one thing that never gets old?
Listen how the story unfolds, Yo.

You started way before I was born
They found a way to record, all the times you performed
With a bass and the tom and the kick and a horn
That was right until you went and changed form.

You finally had a voice, and you spoke the universal lingo
Dad loved you, he was involved
It was like you were, in the souls of a generation
With guitars and and amps and record players.

Then he met my mum who loved dancing to you
She always told me how she found love through you
I remember hearing you around the house
Then rap came on, I turned you up loud!

With the Adidas shell toes you made us all buy
Mum had a heart attack when she looked at the price
But that didn't matter, you had us inspired
Even made a mix-tape for the girl that I liked.

I remember when my uncle died
You got us through the worse of the times
Stood right by our side in our moment of silence.

Then back in our life you would skip on CDs 'til I
Finally got an mp3
An iPod eight gig,
Every night I would go and update it.
I had a sick playlist.

Let me just say this.

Look at you, you're still beaming
No CDs but you're still streaming
Years have passed, and nothing's the same but
You're the one thing that always remains
Music.

Outdoor of the day. THE IKEA RGB BILLBOARD

German ad agency Thjnk + production studio I Made This. Via adfreak

When you have little space you need to come up with clever solutions.
That is not only true for interior decoration, but for advertising space too.

But how can you turn little space into more?
Like this, for exampe:

3 lines.
3 colours.
3 bulbs.
This is how you turn 9 m² into 27 m².
And 1 billboard into more than just 1 billboard.

This is how it works:
If the billboard is illuminated by green lamps, only the line printed in magenta is readable.

Blue-purple light makes yellow visible.

Red light brings blue to the surface.

Automotive ad of the day. Volkswagen. Well worth it

Press Release
New campaign for Volkswagen by adam&eveDDB reminds
us that some things in life are worth paying more for.
Embargoed: 13.2.14
adam&eveDDB is launching a new Value campaign for Volkswagen, as the brand moves
away from the ‘Unbelievable Value’ platform for the first time in several years. The campaign
breaks with the first of three TV executions on 15th February. The adverts, written by Rob
Messeter and Mike Crowe, remind viewers of the pitfalls of sacrificing quality in the pursuit of
a bargain.

In each of the three films – Parachute, Shark Cage, and Rope – we follow a character who
has opted for the cheaper version of an item, rather than the high-quality alternative. Each
advert ends on a Volkswagen, as we are reminded ‘You get what you pay for’, before closing
with the new campaign line ‘Well Worth It’.

With the wider campaign focussing on the exceptional value of Volkswagen, this new line
appears across all of the campaign elements including cinema, print, digital, and radio.

National Communications Manager at Volkswagen UK, Kirsten Stagg, said: “We are
incredibly proud of the quality engineering that goes into each and every Volkswagen, and
the TV adverts demonstrate perfectly that there are some areas where it’s simply not worth
compromising.”

Jeremy Craigen, Executive Creative Director, said “After watching these ads you are left in no
doubt that you get what you pay for, and those who understand that, understand the real
value of a Volkswagen.”
